  • Splash particles in cascade mode

    Hello,

    I´m having this situation where large objects are falling to the water. It has to generate massive amount of splash particles to get the right look, but even when my grid is relatively big, it will shoot most of the particles out of the box.
    Is there any way to continue my particles travel, for example same way as the cascade mode works with cells?
    It seems that using typical cascade mode it wont continue already existed particles into the next grid box.

    there is no way in the official build, my suggestion is to give you a nightly build access, and in few days we will provide some additional control for the particle killing.

        I've found you can't cascade splashes, but you can cascade (source) nparticles if you click on "create particle system" under your splashes node.

          I think you can't - because phx particles are killed outside the grid box.
          I just can't seem to trust myself
          So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

            in the latest nightlies for 3d max the splash is allowed to exit the grid.
