  • Starting "initfill.max" later

At the moment I'm doing some tests with the sample-file "initfill.max".

When I delete the "aquarium"-Object, is there any chance to fill the "initfillshape", but start the dropping of the water some frames later?

I'd like to fly around the waterfilled "initfillshape"-object, before the water hits the ground.

I already tried to duplicate the "initfillshape"-object and use the duplicate as a shell, but this didn't work.

    Thanks!

      Hello,

You could use the Start Frame option on the Simulation panel to start the simulation when the liquid should start moving, and you will be able to see the first frame of the simulation in all frames before that if you check "Load nearest" in the Input panel.

        Hi,

        thank you for your help.

Once I change the Start Frame from 0 to something else, no water is simulated. I guess that is because of the animated discharge.

When I set the Start Frame to 10 and move the Discharge Animation Key to 10, no water is simulated from Frame 0 to Frame 9. Not even if I checked the "Load nearest" option.

Hmm, you can try something else then - in the Input panel, use Direct Index mode and animate the direct frame index to use cache 10 before frame 10, and then use the cache corresponding to the frame.
