How do I extend the ocean beyond the view limits?
it's normally small enough to render larger and crop into but that's not really an option with this scene -

It took me 2 hours of messing around with caustics settings and the photon emit radius before i realized this is what the issue was... the ocean doesnt exist outside of the frame, so how can it make caustics...
e: might not actually be that issue tbh, the line doesnt move when I pull the camera out. I still dont understand what's happening here - they're casting much further out from the grid into the ocean part, not following the line of the grid or the camera, and no matter where i move the photon emit radius/light/camera the caustics cut off at the same place.
