    Hey,

These should disappear after some frames. You may need to add some buffer time at the beginning of the simulation. Increasing the steps per frame or increasing the unit scale in the Dynamics panel could help as well.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the help! I increased spf from 1 to 2. It's 1060 frames into the simulation, but the waves coming from the side of the simulator box are still there. Maybe I should increase the spf more? Changing the unit scale just doesn't sound right. Will I get realistic behaviour if I change unit scale?

Nope, looks like your scale is proper - 47 meters, and with 2 SPF it should be fine. Could you screenshot your Grid and Dynamics settings as well?

As i understand you mean the lower border on the image? You can't achieve perfectly flat borders, usually the simulations like this are rendered with displacement and the artifacts are hidden.

Yeah I meant the lower border, but you can see those waves parallel with the border appear on other parts of the simulation too. Here are my other settings. I highlighted the problematic parts.

you have to use displacement to hide these artifacts, this is the usual way
