I'd suggest you leave the viscosity and the sticky effect for later - the sticky effect needs viscosity in order to work, but viscosity might drastically change the behavior of the splashing liquid. Do a try with more consumed liquid, and then you could increase the surface tension in a separate test, because it will also change the behavior of the liquid. In general, when you change parameters, change just one thing at a time, so that you'd know which one did what.
