  • Can someone explain to me how to get pflow particles rendering as a liquid mesh?

Presumably the mesh grid thing works similarly to a meta-ball renderer.

I want to do something quite abstract with particles, and I think it will be easier with pflow - but I would love to render them as a mesh with liquid, like a liquid render.

    But how?

I see there are pflow operators but the documentation isn't very clear (to me) on what they do... unless you have some degree of prior knowledge.

I just want to plug pflow into a sim grid and hit render - is this possible?

      Hello,

Why do you want to use Phoenix for this? Can you explain in a bit more detail what is the result you are after?

The Pflow operators can create and move particles based on the Phoenix simulation.

Then you can render those particles with Phoenix FD as a mesh(simulation will be required in order to generate Phoenix FD particles), or you can generate a mesh with VrayMetaballs.
Here is a quick example about both options: http://ftp.chaosgroup.com/support/sc..._particles.max
