Hi,
it really depends how the excavator is animated. If the animation contains parent and children (static origin (joint) and geometry transforming around it) it ain't gonna work. It's a known problem we're working on it. The solution here would be simple animation in which the whole thing moves like it's one geo. Just for a test, you can detach the bucket and animate it through Z-axis. Also, remove any additional geometry in the bucket (because if there's an open geometry could cause a strange behavior).George Barzinski

Hi,
A source with negative discharge alone will help consume the liquid faster, but will not help distribute the pressure. However you can combine it with a body force to attract the liquid to the negative source.
In most VFX oriented simulators the pressure effect decreases rapidly with the distance, so the best thing to do in this case is to use force helpers. I would suggest using a follow path force with big pipe radius, rotation speed set to zero, very low pull speed and a bit higher follow speed.
You can also experiment with one or a few weak plain forces to create a flow in some general direction.Nikola Bozhinov, Phoenix FD developer
