  • pheonix refuses to batch render

Hi... Not seeing any license warnings or anything. I am on a second machine pointing to dongle license on first machine. Pheonix sim renders fine in vray buffer then when you go to batch render everything else renders but the smoke does not. Please help!

I believe it's the input paths. Everytime I put a project specific input path the render doesn't seem to work, when i browse to the folder and connect it seems to work. I used to have the same problem with xgen paths.

Quick question- can you render a sim whilst another machine is running a pheonix GUI license? IE should I be concerned about license issues when rendering (whilst other machine has pheonix open)? Can you render two sims at once if you are running them from caches?

Running up against this issue quite regularly. Quite often the render in the vray buffer works so you leave a render over night and they are just blaçk frames. I have the input path setup correctly. Any ideas what this could be? If there is no license warning is it definitely not a license issue?

I just unticked resimulate and now it renders. Don't really understand why that should make a difference if you have the input path set to a cached sim?

When you have resimulation turned on - it will read the resimulation caches, not the original ones. You can find more about the resimulation process here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...A/Resimulation

Yes it was reading the resim caches (that was desired, it was a resimmed scene) but not rendering anything.

Can you show us the render log so we can see where the problem is?
