    Body | body – Specifies the geometry object used as an attractor.

    Strength | strength – Specifies the force intensity. This parameter mostly affects the points outside the body. The fluid accelerates constantly toward the force until reaching the body.

    Max distance | maxdist – Specifies the distance at which the force disappears. Note: This value can be animated when needed.

    Fade start | fadestart – Specifies the relative distance (as part of the Max Distance) where the force starts to weaken.

    Suppress orb. | orbitsupp – Specifies the drag force that suppresses velocity components that are different from the direction toward the body. This force is pronounced outside the body.

    Internal damp | veldamp – Specifies the amount of damping applied to velocities inside the body that are above the Damp min vel. threshold. This parameter is used to prevent the escape of the fluid. If this value is set to 0, the fluid attracted to the body will continue across the body.

    Damp min vel. | dampstart – The threshold velocity for the Internal damp force. This parameter is used to prevent total freezing of the fluid inside the body. Since the fluid must remain "alive", it must have some residual movement.

    Spread Speed | insidespreading – Specifies the rate at which the fluid fills an object's volume evenly in world units per second.

    Affect | affect – Specifies the affected components of the simulation separated by commas. The supported elements are:


    Suppress orb? "Specifies the drag force that suppresses velocity components that are different from the direction toward the body. This force is pronounced outside the body." - where, inside the body or outside the body? can we see an example?

    So the damp min velocity? - That means any value faster than it, will be transferred to the internal damp? does that include it's spreading speed? or after it's initial speed?

    Yeah, this is horribly written.

    Suppress orb works outside the body. It only allows the fluid to move towards and away from the body, but does not allow the fluid to orbit the body.

    Damp min velocity is the velocity above which damping occurs. Slower fluid will not be damped. It does not affect Spread Speed.

      Cheers. So a high supress orb will achieve what, keep the fluid in the body if it's there?

      So if i want all fluid to be damped when it hits the body, I need a very high number? - and that will halt the fluid and begin it to spread?

      I would love some updates to these as I'm on project - perhaps I can send soemthign to you and you can make suggestions?

        Hi,
        internal damp is killing the velocity of the fluid inside the geometry. Actually, you can animate this parameter and when the fluid is inside the geo, maximum damping to take place (if the parameter hits max value of 1). Give it a try, so we can help you down the road.

          Yup, orbital suppression is meant to prevent the fluid from spinning around the body. Internal damp slows the fluid down inside the body.

          Without these two, if you have a very strong force, the fluid will pass right through the non-solid body, then will be drawn again to it and come back another time, and so on. The internal damp allows you to reduce how many times the fluid oscillates back and forth. This movement of the fluid usually naturally turns into rotation around the body, so by using the orbital suppression, you can prevent that and force the fluid to always move through the body, instead of flying around it. This way you can force it to pass through the geometry so the internal damp would take effect, otherwise it won't help much if the fluid is revolving around the body instead of passing through.

                Yes, it does help a little bit.

                But at 3am when you're desperately trying to get something ready, visual examples would help. Especially for visuals artists who aren't as clever as you simulator programmers
