    Hi, JD3D

flickering is all gone when using Particle Tex instead of Grid Tex. I'm uploading the Particle Texture settings and some rendered frames. I'm using Color Intensity set to 2.0 which gives more vivid colors.

Keep in mind that If there's a presence of black artifacts that could be caused by the particle area radius and/or areas blending method.

Thanks very much - I'm pretty much desperate and in your hands now. The client will be calling me today and asking me where it is!

So the problem is, I cannot pick my source particle system.

I am still getting one single colour render.

If I choose my simulator, I get a warning saying "cannot create a circular reference" - so I am not sure how in your screen grab you have the main simulator selected, or how you are rendering it.

So I am supposed to pick a non-instanced copy right?

I thought we didn't have to do that any more?

But in any case, it just doesn't work!

Can you walk me through this because I seem to be missing something fundamental.

            * My main simulation is called "PhoenixFD stage 2" - and that's the one I want to render - that is the one that I am assigning my blend material to, that you have seen.
            * your version has the particle shared selecting that simulator, but I cannot do that, I get a circular reference error
            * I choose a copy of my simulator so I can select the RGB channels
            * I assign my material to my main simualtor
            * the render comes out flat yellow

This doesn't work with the nighties.

I don't know what to say - the suggested solution does not work with the latest nightly, or the official release.

                        There you go:

                        https://drive.google.com/file/d/16fe...ew?usp=sharing

Hope that video would help you!

                        1. Delete the already attached grid texture
                        2. Add new Particle tex
                        3. Attach it to the three nodes
                        4. Add the PhoenixFD stage 2 simulator and select the particle system
                        5. Check Color from particle Channel and select RGB. Set Color Intensity to 2.0
                        6. Add Material #196 to the PhoenixFD stage 2 sim.
                        7.Render

I just requested permission to view the file under my email address (justin dowling) - as it's different to the one registered for the forums.

                          But just to note:

2 - add the phoenix - just to repeat myself again. I CANNOT do this, it says I am creating a circular dependency.

Hold on, I have a guess as to what may be happening. I will check with the official 3.11 version and see if it is what I'm thinking...

I just downloaded the latest nightly as well. It's like you have reverted that functionality back to an old version or something?
