I have a fairly simple scene where a small boat has an engine on fire in an ocean. The ocean is a simple plane subdivided with a vraydisplacementtex and a phoenix ocean inside the texture slot. The phoenix fire is all simulated but crashes if I render with the ocean displacement on. It will also render if I change the render mode to volumetric geometry but much slower.
Any ideas why this might be happeing ?
