  • phoenix FD 4 + backburner

I´ve just installed latest phoenix, and my slaves won´t render any simulation. it says MISSING Phoenixfd.dlr.
I have installed it as an standalone slave.
    previous version worked fine.

    thanks!

Hey, does it help if you make a workstation install?

Hey, so there are 3 installation types - we recently renamed them so hopefully they are more intuitive this way: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ionofPhoenixFD

If you install only as a V-Ray Standalone render slave - you would only be able to render using V-Ray standalone - phoenixfd.dlr will not be installed.

For a Backburner slave, you gotta install the second option - simulation and render slave. This is needed in order to both simulate and render in 3ds Max - even though rendering would not need a license, you still gotta have the dlr.

In case you are already using the 2nd option and are installing as a sim+render slave, please let me know, so we can double check if everything is fine.

        Cheers!
