  • Cap mesh and irregular shape collision "tank"

    Hi
im using a collsion for my "water tank" to delete some of the fluid, this is done to greatly reduce the particle count...The sim works well, but when i come to "mesh" in render setting, the cap mesh /ocean mesh gives a weird result.
is there a workaround for this, using a "collsion" to delete particles help to keep detail where i need it and leave "thinner" areas for where splashes land.
iv attached a side view and a render of the "problem"

    using
    3.14.00, Build ID: 20190427

    kind regards
    Harv

    Hi
i think using confine geometry may be the solution, testing now.

In general, ocean and cap mesh are designed to work when the liquid touches the floor and sides of the simulator, so this might be why you are not getting the result you expect. Also, make sure you have fillup for ocean is enabled and you don't have clear inside for your geometry - please check the info on fillup for ocean here, there are some corner cases https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...iquid+Dynamics

          Hey,

Currently not, there are still quite a few changes or improvements which are requested more.

          Cheers!
