I've been eager to try out my new workstation for a bit on some simulations stuff so I was very sad when I encountered a strange situation that didn't happen on my nearly 10 year old previous workstation. I CAN simulate and render liquid, but when I simulate and try to render FIRE, it crashes to desktop. I was using the same software on my old computer and this didn't ever happen so that's odd. If I load my fire sim into a VRayVolumeGrid it renders fine, so that is my current work around, but it's annoying. I tried installing Phoenix 4 but said it needed a new license which we don't have yet.
I'm using Phoenix 3.14.01 Nightly and Max 2020.3, VRay 3.70.01 (yes I know Vray Next is out! )
Windows 10
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 Super
AMD Ryzen 3960X
64 GB Ram
