The off-screen ocean will have less detail I'm afraid, this is expected so it does not use too much memory. The idea of this margin is not to get rendered, but to help get more consistent reflections and casting shadows.
We better see if we can support these camera overrides for the regular ocean surface...
What we are trying to do is to replace our old ocean with the new phoenix ocean.
We can't move the camera of our boat so in order to add extra area we used the camera override.
As the camera overrides are not supported at this point I think we have now shot ourselves in the foot.
We can increase the resolution but how could we get the position of the boat to remain as it is?
Is this possible?
Hey, looks like we would be able to implement support for overscan in the nightly builds in a couple of days. This way you won't be needing the Off-screen margin and it would render with equal detail everywhere. Stay tuned, will ping you when you can download a nightly builds...
Absolutely fantastic Svetlin. I will be listening out for that as this is a very important project for us. Learning a new plugin while having to deliver the results at the same time is somewhat of a challenge, but that's where we find ourselves.
