  • Phoenix Wet-Map (Particle Texture) not rendering wet-material...

    Hello guys,

I do have a setup like this:
Vray Blend material with dry material as base 1, wet material as coat 1 and Phoenix particle texture map as wet-map in blend 1 slot
Prior to this when setting up the particle texture material I did slect the Phoenix wetmap particle of my Phoenix liquid sim. So I think this is how it´s all done.

When rendering (CPU or GPU) I cannot get the wet material to show.
My liquid simulation was simulated with wetmap enabled and I do have lots of "red wet particles" in the particle preview.

    Any help appreciated,
    thanks,
    Martin ;=)

    Hey,

It will certainly not work on GPU... yet. We are yet to implement the particle texture for GPU.

However, for V-Ray CPU it should work. Are you setting up your material like this?

Here you can grab a scene with a ready setup too:

Try to put simple checker map in the blend mask slot, if it works, the reason is the particle texture setup, if not - the blend material setup
If the texture is to blame, put it as diffuse texture in a simple material, and see how it appears

        Hello Svetlin, hello Ivaylo,

thanks for the reply - I was abloe to investigate and fix - GPU compatibility I had not been aware of and also I had a mistake in my setup and now it works!

        Cheers,
        Martin
