  • Container wall are open but sim as closed

    Hi all

All Phoenix sims are now calculating as if the Container walls are closed/jammed.

    OSX Maya Phoenix 5.10.00

    Cheers

Hey, could you share more info about the problem? Is this a fire/smoke simulation or a liquid simulation? Could you screenshot the scene, or the settings rollouts of the Simulator? Or even better - could you send the scene over so we can check it?

    Thank you!

Ah, do you mean that Adaptive Grid is not expanding?

Will try to make it break here as well... Meanwhile, could you try disabling the "Max Memory %" option? Would this work around the problem?

Bizarrely, this morning things are working.
Just for info, where is the Max Memory option.

Ah, I just came here to write that I could not break it here either

                  Here is the option:

If possible, please send over the Phoenix log in case it happens again - it should contain more info about what went wrong. You would be able to open it from the Phoenix FD menu -> Preferences... -> Open Log File Location.

                  Thank you!

Haven't changed any settings. Just a brand new scene, and it's clipping the sim again:

Disabling Max Memory does fix this issue

Ah, could you please send me the log file? I am speculating that perhaps Phoenix is not detecting the available memory correctly...

Hey, in today's nightlies I added a bit more information to be printed to the Phoenix log in order to hopefully pinpoint the issue:
                            https://nightlies.chaos.com/#/phoeni...ghtly/20230220

If possible, could you install the latest nightly and run the simulation with Max Memory % enabled again, and if the issue still occurs, could you send the log file once again?

                            Thank you!
