  • right click menu ON LiquidSrc

    Hi

iv just updated to 5.10 on 3ds max 2018

In my right click menu, the "phoenix properties" doesn't do anything when a LiquidSrc, or particle shaders are selected , they work on objects just fine.
any ideas?, or is this new default behaviour and changes are just done to "objects" that are referenced into the LiquidSrc, hope that makes sense

    cheers

    Hey,

Indeed, the right click properties don't make sense for the Sources - only for the emitter objects you have selected in the Sources. As for the Particle Shaders - they don't need Phoenix simulation properties at all - they don't participate in the simulation, just the rendering.

    Hope this makes sense, cheers!

Hmmm, perhaps it got changed after some fix - it's possible that it really allowed this in older versions, but it probably did nothing for the simulation anyway.
