can't render isosurface

Hi Ivaylo, I still have that same bug... Now my helper is supposed to have the same version as me: 2.2.0 rev24967 for for vray 3 and 3dsmax 2015. when I load one of his scene i can just render a single frame in mesh mode. If I send the scene to the farm it does not render phoenixfd and the path are pointing on the farm by unc path. If I try to render locally in implicit surface it does not render. I I try to render a sequence locally via RPManager in mesh or implicit it does not render either.

I will send you a scene with the bug with a cache frame.

i think the revision is not causing the problem, i will see your scene, i have missed your answer and i'm seeing right now that you have sent the scene. apologize for that, will see it today.

for this scene I realize I can render the iso surface in the original scene that Tommi sent me, but after creating my render pass with RPManager I can't render implicit and on the farm (it's rendering but there is nothing where the fluid should be. very strange bug...

well, apparently the RPManager and Phoenix are not working properly together, we tested it with scene from scratch.

I just created a scene from scratch. I can first render implicit surface but as soon as I create a pass with rpmanager the bug start and I can't render in implicit surface anf I guess I can't render on the famr even in esh mode. I always use rpmanager and it's the first time I noticed that.

Then if i remove all rpmanager data, the bug stays. But if I create a new scene and merge the preceding one, the bug is gone and I can render... but i need my RPManager setting all thos passes manually would be a real pain in the neck!

yes, this link is working, we will try with your scene. our attempt to reproduce the bug was not successful, the test scene really refused to render, but it was due to bad settings, no connection with rpmanager. when we changed them, it started to work. however your tests lead to the conclusion that really the rpmanager is involved.

I contacted Grant Adam about this. I hope he can find why such a bug is occurring cause I am now on a production and I really need to render ASAP.

On my part it does render but simply phoenix is like hidden. The frame renders black without anything in the alpha. But you could not reproduce the bug, that means you can render phoenixFD in implicit mode with rpmanager? Which version revision of phoenixFD and RPMananger did you test?

I noticed there is some kind of randomness to the bug. some times I would create a scene from scratch with a render pass and the bug is not occuring. But most of the times it is. I keep closing max and recreating scenes from scratch the exact same way and some times the bug occurs some other times not.

Grant was not able to reproduce the bug. He had a vray nighlty from last august and phoenixFD demo version.

I still haven't been able to try the latest nightlies cause I have rendering currently in progress for other shots so I don't want anything to change in the middle of those renderings.
