  • Liquid playback

I have a case where I cant offset geometry animation, and the action starts from minus frames. Is there a way to playback those frames which are made during the minus frames, cause PHX seems to simulate right but wont let me see the result before 0 frame. I try to play with Input panel but got no answer.

One other thing. Is there a way to prevent Phoenix to show any cached frames if the simulation starts like in half of the shot? I mean, if I play the shot till the end and then jump back in to the first frame, the Phoenix freezes the last loaded frame. Only way to prevent this has been that I go to the first frame where the cache starts and no liquid is visible. Then I can make a clean preview.

    Im using revision 24967

Yup, seems like displaying negative frames got broken, we'll fix it in the next nightly.

On the other issue - phoenix should not display caches if they don't exist on the current frame, unless the "Load nearest if missing" box is ticked in the Input panel. I noticed that's not always working in mesh mode though. Do you use mesh mode preview?

      Thanks Svetlin!
Yap, the mesh mode has been always on. And I noticed this check box in the input panel and wonder why theres such a thing when it seems to work like that by default
But of course I remember the times when both of these problems where not there so apparently they are just bugs?
