    Hi guys,
    I have a problem simulating a boat scene which almost depends on the scene provided in the demo scenes.
    I'm simulating a boat which travels about 250 frames from left to right and I have to render it from the top.
    The trail of the boat is fine so far but I have an ugly transition between the grid and the beginning of the
    infinite ocean surface. Please see the attached crop.

    The grid an the boat are linked to a dummy which is animated and the grid has a length of half the dummy's
    travel distance. How can I get rid of the ugly edge? Do I have to expand the grid, so that the outer corners
    don't appear in the camera view? Or is there an other way?

    I'm, currently using the nightlys version 1603026669

    Hey,

    We did a ton of fixes on the ocean the last couple of weeks - please check how it looks with a latest nightly.

      Ok, the latest nightly didn't help. There is still a visible hard edge between grid and infinite ocean. Any other suggestions??

        Would it be possible to send the scene over so we can debug it? The fix could make it into the nightlies in the next several days.

          I'm sorry the original scene isn't available anymore.
          I resimulated the scene with a much bigger grid. Now the transition between grid and ocean is not that visible anymore.
          But if I render the scene, I have a slightly darker area between grid and ocean. I can send you the scenefile it is not that big.
          To which adress?

            I think it might be related, but would it be possible to attach a screenshot?

              Ok, I've send the scenefile and a short movie to the support adress.

              The "darkening" effect is pretty subtle, you can see it in front of the boat where grid ends.
