      Hey,

That's right - yesterday's nightly should be ok. Today's issue will be gone for tomorrow's nightly

      Cheers!

Ah, now that you said it .. the fix is going to actually take a while to be done properly, so might not make it for tomorrow, but yesterday's nightly will have all that the fixed one would have anyway, so you should stick to it until next week.

Hi, this happen to me from time to time. couldn't render out foam and splashes, forcing me to install previous version of nightly. So there is no quickfix other than uninstall / reinstalling?

Hmm, which build number do you have? It's very strange that it would happen only from time to time.

It was 26749. Now I am using 26681, everything is okay.

Ah, okay - after 26743 there's issues with foam rendering - in tomorrow's nightly all should be okay and we'll take down the problematic nightlies.

                        Cheers!

sorry what I mean "from time to time" is when I install new version of nightly.

BTW, I got "no velocity channel" when I rendering foam with motion blur. and ocean displacement crash 3dsmax....I think I should keep track of which version I am using to be precise.

Ah - you should enable Particle Velocity from the Output panel - there is a combo there especially for the particles. I will change the message so that it would be more specific - it's not the grid velocity that is needed for the foam and splash, but the particle velocity.

The crash is something we definitely have to fix though - would it be possible to share a scene where this happens?
