  • Input / play speed not keyable, nightly for 3dsmax

    Hi,

I couldn't set key for Input / play speed, is this normal?

    2.25.01 Nightly Build ID: 1605156771

Yup, you maybe want to switch to Cache Index mode and animate the Direct Cache Index.

    Cheers!

      tks
So after I run base simulation, then I checked "Enable particle resimulation", animated the Cache Index.

Do I need to hit "start" simulation after I animate cache index?

When I make it slow-motion, the mesh doesn't update per frame. Supposedly should blend between frames.

If you have your liquid and your foam and splash all ready and you just want to retime them, then you don't need particle resimulation for FLIP - we made it possible to blend smoothly between frames just by changing the Input Time Bend settings. Resimulation is needed to re-time only the fire/smoke simulations, because there the grids cannot be blended without the solver doing some work.

With a latest nightly, if you turn off particle resimulation, does the mesh still not update? Would it be possible to send the scene over to support so I can have a look at what's wrong?
