if you mean the `cell preview/only if selected` it`s turned off already. it`s the extended gpu viewport preview that disappears if you don`t have the simulator selected. the cells(dots) are still visible in another viewport.

Oh, totally missed the part for the extended viewport - this will work only when the Simulator is selected - it's in the to do fix that.

We really have to fix that - can you give us more info on your video and also which viewport renderer you are using in Max? Anything special about the viewport - shaded, realistic, etc? Also, if there is Remote Desktop involved, anything GPU might or might not work..

Is there a plan/is it possible to make GPU preview in previous to 2015 Max version. It really useful feature and I am stuck with 2014...

Max itself can't do it, sadly...

nothing out of the ordinary. 4 viewports, 2 wireframe, 1 shaded(never realistic) and top right is extended GPU phoenixfd. i normally run in legacy direct3d 9 but i tried it under Nitrous directX 11 as well, same effect.
attached a couple of images. 1 on left is selected, 1 on the right, the simulator is not selected.

Ahh, well this is expected - the GPU preview won't show until you select the simulator. We have to fix that - it has to be connected to the 'Only if selected' option. But I thought the viewport GPU preview won't show at all?
