  • phoenix ocean motion blur bug

We have Problems Rendering ocean Surface with camera Animation (Rotation) and Motion blur. As you can see on the Image, the edges of the ocean have some issues, I guess because phoenix is just building ocean inside the cone of the camera and there is missing infommation outside the camera with enabled Motion blur, so the edge of the ocean is blured with the Background. Tried with final release and nightly build, no difference. (in the middle of the Image is a sphere, I am just talking about the right edges)

and by the way: is there any way to render just the ocean displacement without Simulation and with viewport feedback to get the right sea Level ? Thank you.

If you only need displacement you can hook up the PhoenixOceanTex to VRayDisplacement modifier over a plane and you're good to go.

Unfortunately if you need a viewport representation of the displacement you will have to use the regular Displacement modifier.
