We're using Max 2016 with the new Phoenix FD 3 and we're getting results that we didn't get from the previous versions of PFD. I have a ship that is modeled to scale (using Meters) and is moving at 24 knots (13 m/s). In the past I've created the models to scale and animated them in the correct knots/meters-per-second and have gotten good results. This time, I'm not getting any foam or splashes at all. I've tried all sorts of things, like increasing the foam on hit rate, the foam rate, the splash rate, and even increased the speed of the ship to represent like 50 m/s.
I created the ocean from the default "Setup an Ocean sim for selected".
Has anyone else had these problems? Is it a known issue? I have a scene I can send to Chaos Group if required.
