  • Retrace lightcache?

Would it be possible to have an option similar to retrace lightcache in Vray for the PHX light cache? based on how far is a light source to the cells?

It would help with lights inside the volume since disabling light cache is making the render super duper slow...

    Regards.

(I asked for access to the nightly builds a week ago and have no answer... What is wrong with me?)

the grid appears when lit by a source inside it, maybe I am wrong coz I am actually trying to clear the cells around the lit object.
There are also some black squares from time to time...

Also, could we have negative value in attraction ?, the idea is to grow a volume inside a fluid that pushes it with a gradient around instead of cutting sharp like right now... maybe there is a way with emitting velocity in PHXSource but my tries were unsuccessful until now...

the black squares are 100% a bug, if you can reproduce them on certain frame, would be good to send us the scene and the cache file
well, can't promise about the light cache for the near future, but we will consider it.

btw, an idea. i don't know what kind of light are you using, but if it is a point light, you can increase the radius to be bigger than the cell size
