  • detail reduction smaller cells

    hi,
not sure what anyone else thinks but when you use detail reduction the #cells reduces but their size increases to the point where they obscure the whole viewport. maybe keep them the same size but just reduce the number or scale them less ? the gpu preview isn`t visible this close to camera.
    thanks

    Hi,

is there a chance that you are amazingly close to the simulation grid or even inside it?

      Hi George,
      Thanks for your response.
Yes it`s probably the case that I might be too close, there`s not much i can do about that as I need my camera to be there as there are closeup shots with dust coming off car wheels, I suppose the same would happen with a splash through a puddle etc. The cells start off small but get bigger when you use detail reduction to the point of almost obscuring the viewport. It just seems it could be useful to allow detail reduction without scaling of the cells in the viewport for cases such as this where closeups are necessary.
It is a wishlist after all !
      thanks
      anthony
