  • 3rd party plugins and V-Ray 6 beta

The SDK is new, so all 3rd party plugins may not work and even crash (ForestPack, RailClone, Multiscatter, etc). If there are problems, you might need to uninstall those for the respective 3ds Max version until there are compatible versions.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

    SDK question.
We are still on VRayNext. SDK-wise,moving to VRay5 and VRay6 would need same amount of effort?
Is there any big SDK changes?

      Hello,

Overall neither of them are some huge total rewrite - more of an incremental improvement so it shouldn't need huge efforts to get to either V-Ray 5 or V-Ray 6 SDK.
One upside of going to V-Ray 6 SDK now - it is still open for change so if there are any missing features or ideas for improvement they can be implemented in the SDK itself.

      Best regards,
