  • Memory use doubled since I've started using Ver 6.00.30

    I'm using the VRay AppSDK in a C# project;
    The project opens VRay and Vantage and then loads in a .VRscene file.

    I've recently noticed that my C# Is using the same amount of memory as Vantage, on top of what it was using before.
    Is it possible that this has something to do with the fact that I updated the AppSDK? As far as I know I haven't changed much else.

    or maybe it is something else? Any Thoughts?

    Can you provide more detail: Which was the version number before the update and what is it now? How much memory did it use before (approximately) and how much does it use now? Is it the memory reported by the V-Ray memory tracker or what you see in Task Manager? You can check if the difference comes from the updated version or not. We are not currently aware of such an issue. The question is too broad for us to answer.

      The issue has been resolved.
      In my attempts to gather concrete data:

      I reverted to 5.20.20 and still experienced the issue,
      I ran the old build that has better memory use on another pc, and still experienced the issue,
      I replicated all circumstances one by one until the obvious answer remained;
      Our artist updated the source -.vrscene file with high-poly art.

      This has been an embarrassing time-sink on my end.
