    just a quick question, i note you specify driver 441.28 for RTX support. do you know if this driver revision still supports 2+ pairs of gpus in nvlink mode? it was suggested that at some point this ability was going to disappear.. It would be nice if there was at least one driver revision where both RTX and multiple nvlink pairs was supported!
    also very interested in this, otherwise will stay on current drivr that supports nvlink

I don't know why but somehow because of the name (I think it's psychological) they fail to use it instead of the standard max bitmap.

      On the topic of the update: Thank you Chaos for your hard work. Although I feel a bit left in the cold, and I don't want to sound ungrateful or arrogant but I feel like there's nothing groundbreaking coming to Vray in terms of achieving better faster results visually for me, speaking as a digital artist, in the last year or 2.

      I'm not sure but I feel there's a lot of features that could really speed up our creation workflow by a lot and I know (or hope) it's being worked on but it's just soooo hard to wait

      VFB 2.0 (lightmix,...)
      Stochastic Texturing
      Fixing Bump
      UVW Randomization with a map
      Material Override 'preserve' option
      Better material preview (together with the material library even)
      Better color mapping options

      To only name a few of the wishes of this community (well at least the ones that post here), I'm sure you're tired of reading these by now

      Anyhow thanks again for the update!

      Yeah, I kind of had the same reaction to this release. Very grateful for the hard work of the team but sorry to see UX taking a bit of a back seat again. I understand different users will have different priorities. For some the RTX integration will be amazing I'm sure! But for us if it's harder to get to the look you want due to lacking interface features (even if the rendering goes faster than comparable renderers) getting from point 'A' to point 'B' is ultimately going to take longer when it comes to total time spent.

        Amazing as always. Thanks so much for the RTX support! Couldn't wait for this day to come!

            (*) VFB: Enable setting of the render region via MAXScript outside the default resolution before rendering;
            Does this mean that OverScan rendring is now possible on the V-Ray side?
            What is "default resolution"? Currently set rendering resolution?

              (*) VRayALSurfaceMtl: SSS is not computed for materials seen through glossy refraction;
              (*) VRayStochasticFlakesMtl: Stochastic flakes are not visible through glossy refraction;
              Is this a Bug Fix?
              Or is it not calculated to reduce rendering time?

                Those are bug fixes, they were missing when looked through glossy refractions and now they should work as expected.

                  Thank you for the awesome work you put into this update guys, really appreciate everything that goes into it.

                  Unfortunately I just tested out the RTX integration on a quick test scene and it actually added 2 minutes and 20 seconds, running on a 2080ti with the new drivers. Ill test it out on more scenes I have and hopefully this isnt replicated.

                  Cheers

                    Thanks for the update. Why no video on your Youtube channel showcasing the new update? Usually you post such videos. It would be great to see what's new and improved at a glance.

                          I have unfortunately experienced the same with an rtx 2080 testing progressive and bucket... but still really nice work on fixing everything else.

                            Keep in mind that the first time you launch the RTX engine (per new build/driver) you wait 45 seconds on average for kernel compilation per GPU.

                                The first run is always slow for scene compilation, it should be fine with more runs
                                in my test scenes there have been a massive speed boost with RTX on
