Whwre can I find any information on how to order a dongle? We purchased VRay some time ago, and didn't bothered to order the dongle then, because we were fine with the software key, but I quess it was quite a mistake.

Chaos site had a dongle order link back then, I can remember, but I can't find it anymore, and also the dongle FAQ seems to have been removed from the spot3d site.

Contact your local reseller (the place you bought it from)
They are the ones who are looking after the dongles.

(I seem to be saying that alot recently. Might have to put it in my sig.. hehe)

I think the reseller is sitll the best way to go.

However it wouldnt hurt to email them just to be sure.

We don't really have a reseller. We had trouble with the one here offering chaos products, so we decided to simply order it online directly from chaos. (The reseller here does exactly the same, the only extra you get is just more delay)

I dropped a mail to the vray support a day ago, still waiting for their reply, so in the meantime, I decided to post the question here.

Has anyone purchased vray from regsoft, circa 2005? I did and never got a dongle from them after filling out the request form a year ago. Is Regsoft still a legit "reseller" worth contacting?

i just bought vray a few weeks ago through RegSoft.
the chaos-team emailed me to wait till all of the siggraph-crew are
back. there will be more infos about the dongles they said.

I got the files from client in 3DS Max 8 format.
Use to work with MAX 7.
Now need to unpack and install my MAX 9.
Get to downloading page....Oops! - Everything require dongle!
Asked twice for it about 6 month or year ago.
Long story!
It not suppose to be this way!
It's always about money - not a problem I'll pay but don't make the clients to say:
"-Ok! We just wait!"
It's not Ok!

I bought from them also but in 2004. I can't see they have it anymore on their website.
