      (*) VFB: Added ability to load the render settings for an image from the history window;

      (*) VRayCurvatureMap: A new texture similar to VRayDirt; useful for detecting mesh curvature;

      (*) V-Ray RT GPU: Implemented QMC sampling for CUDA engine;

      (*) V-Ray: The GI subdivs multiplier in the V-Ray object properties has been renamed to "Subdivs multiplier" and affects all shading samples for the particular object;

      (*) V-Ray RT CPU: Support for VRayEnvironmentFog;

      (*) V-Ray: The render mask can work with transparent and not Visible to Camera objects along the ray paths;

      COOL!

              - just wondering - i guess this is the point where cuda and opencl kiss each other goodbye as equal vray RT options?

              i know you licensed this from nvidia so im hardly surprised its cuda only... i guess nvidia would have given you a good price since it provides a lock-in to their hardware.

              does it make a big difference to speed?

                QMC changes the noise pattern, so it's not so much about speed, but about noise levels.

                There is a possibility to add QMC to the CPU/OpenCL renderers, but for now it's CUDA only.

                Best regards,
                Vlado

                  ok good to know we still have hope for opencl.. im still hanging on to the vague idea that amd will come out with a killer rt card someday.

                  wrt speed/noise.. imho they are interchangeable. if it gives a cleaner looking image in a given time, then, for our purposes, its faster!

                      Great news on the addition of the curvature map and the volume grid! Can't wait to use them.

                              That is most likely true I'm just asking since the last statement was that the builds are ready and were supposed to be uploaded last week. But of course when it's ready is valid response.
                              Cheers,
