This could be a really stupid question but here goes. I am playing around with the Nick Clark Spooklights tool (creates all types of great flickering lights) and want to render a test with Neon Lights flickering on. I had planned to use GI- calculating the Irradiance map before I net-render.
I have done a bunch of tests but the after calculating the IRMAP, it does not match the light values from the first to the last frame. Can an IRMAP handle changes in light settings over the cours of an animation ?

By the way I am using 1.09r with 3dsmax 7

    Thanks as always

If they are the only illumination and it's at night time where you may not be using any skylight then you will definitely want to use single frame.

If you have skylight or other static lights you could render all of that with the camera moves into one pass and then comp in the lighting from the neon lights as a separate layer.
