NVidia would know better, i am sure: every renderer which uses their GPUs has similar issues, so i am not sure it can be worked around entirely from this side.
EDIT: this came out wrong. i am not saying it's NVidia's fault. I remember it being much the same with AMD cards, OCL and their drivers.
Let me stress this isn't anything else than semi-informed opinion, so please take with two pinches of salt: i stand ready to be corrected.
