Some very cool technical advancements. Shorter rendertimes are always welcome.
But somehow I was hoping for the ones mentioned in my first post.

I personally love the new Hash Map, particularly.
It's such an elegant step forward for the Light Cache, and it also removes old limitations, such as issues with regions looking different than whole renders.
Last but not least, leak prevention* will be a thing of the past.
This will mean both speed and consistency while look-developing a shot, and sub-parts thereof.

I really do not want to complain. Better image quality and faster renders top the above mentioned things by far.
I can still do light mixing in AE or PS and if I really need some areas with caustics it is possible to do reasonably fast.
The next update after 4.2 will arrive soon enough....

I am a V-Ray fanboy, however, I have been pushed over to Corona because V-Ray NEXT has been failing me. I am hoping the next update will fix things that are preventing me from completing projects with these V-Ray NEXT bugs.Bobby Parker

Mine are in supports hands and Vlado said that they have been fixed, so I am waiting for the update. My issues are white dots everywhere and strange artifacts through glass.Bobby Parker

Could somebody please upload the keynote about the next vray release somewhere?
Sentences like "He introduced some of the exciting features users can expect in V-Ray Next updates for Maya, 3ds Max and Unreal." are a bit frustrating!Last edited by Ihno; 19-05-2019, 04:04 AM.German guy, sorry for my English.
