Vray Next Update 2 - How do I properly use the new Isolate Selected feature in IPR?

I've just updated to Vray Next Update 2. I was really eager to try the new Isolate Selected function in IPR. Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble. Every time I select an object the lighting on that object changes drastically. I tried with a few different scenes and the same thing happens. Please check the screenshots below. It kind of defeats the purpose of this feature if the objects get drastically different lighting when isolated. From what I can see, it works fine in the official Youtube demo video - https://youtu.be/vJ-2LJpF5AU?t=37 Maybe I'm not using this new feature properly?

So what happens in your scene is that you very much rely on GI for lighting. When you use Isolate Select, everything besides the selected geometry turns completely black so the light can't bounce and light that object.

I understand your confusion, we are thinking for a good workaround for this case.

Ah, bummer. Kind of useless feature for me in this case. I was really stoked when I saw it and the main reason I wanted to update. Here's hoping it will be fully functional in the next update.

I suppose that making the materials black for the camera rays only will do the trick.

Does this mean than when the object is li wih bounced light only it will not render?

I would really like to see this with all the lighting. It could be really a great feature!
But I love how it show texture for selected material node, its cool! Thank you.

One more thing - is it possible to show what is behind transparent object? My point is when I edit some transparent glass on table or something, if I enter Isolate Selected feature, everywhere is black and the glass is black too because there is no background, so its impossible to edit it.

The change that Vlado proposed will fix this case too. It needs a little more testing and if it's ok, you'll see it in the hotfix.

I know it will fix the reflections. But I mean real background like wall or any object behind the glass. So we can tweak refraction glossiness for example. If you talked about this too, cool then
