desperately need help wih leather material

    Here's the wire....not done with them thogh...meybe will clean up the ngon & tri later when i have time...actually i just cut trough the model to produce a guildline for the seam ,did a chamfer them extrude them twice to create a slight seam effect ....

    just watch out the tri or quad will be create when you did chamfer at the angle..try to weld them...

          you might for the seam try a shape from selection tool. would give you a spline you could make renderable. But then it might not work if you did it pre meshsmooth. hmmm...

            hey it does work. Choose your edges, go out of subobject mode, and apply meshsmooth modifier. Convert to poly, go back into suboject edge and youll have your previous selection. Then use create shape from selection and you can turn it into renderable spline

              Interesting hint. I will try this method also. I have to find the best way on how to model seams and you guys are helping me a lot
