What is the math behind the bokeh anisotropy? Does the value -0.5 correlate to 2x anamorphic?

-0.5 doesn't seem to match my anamorphic footage very well. -0.35 seems a bit closer.

Would love an official answer on what the values represent since the documentation doesn't specify.

If you want the ratio of the height to width of the bokeh to be k:1, then the value for anisotropy should be sqrt(1/k)-1; for anamorphic bokeh which is 2.39:1, the anisotropy should be -0.353 which is about what you found out.

        Awesome. Thank you.

I'm sure it would be helpful for others if that information was included in the online documentation.
