  • Curvature as a mask

I'm trying to roughen perfect cad edges with a mixture of edge Tex and curvature, combined with an imperfection texture.
but it seems like the curvature map can't be used as a mask (in a composite map) or combined with blending modes.
Or am I doing something wrong?
I know that edge Tex can't be combined in any way..
But how would I go about the whole thing?

same VRayCurvature in VRayCompTex as mask in VRayBlendMtl.
      blending between VRayMtl and VRayBumpMtl.

        thanks for answering to this.
        you are right.
it seems like curvature doesnt mix well with the edgetex inside of the composite, but using it with a blend and bump material is pretty good.
        thanky you!

if you are feeding Composite to VRayMtl's bump slot make sure you are using VRayColor2Bump. Should give you less issues. This might be quite outdated tip right now but I still do this anyway.

I'm trying to figure out how to structure this in vray for su...(or in max for that matter)....would someone mind posting a screenshot of your shader network in slate editor? or maybe just post the shader so I can dissect it? I'm getting confuse on how it all goes together. (have never been successful at blending VrayEdgesTex with bump...) Below is screenshot of what we have to work with in now in Vray for Sketchup------>
