  • scatter vrmesh? how?

    Hi!
    Is there any way to scatter vrmesh? It seems like vraymesh is not a real 3ds-Object (what is it), so scatter doesn't seem to work with it. Is there any other way?

    try this one out.. it'll distribute an object to each of the verts with a random scale.. could help

      Thanks for the hint. I just tested the script, but the distribution on vertex-Points makes the distribution to even. I also tried to tesselate the mesh and put an optimize on it (to get an uneven mesh), but isn`t the best solution, because in flat areas there will be less distribution (because the optimize optimizes more here)

      Now I tried around with the implemented crowd and the scatter there, and I must say, this seems quite useful! Only disadvantage is that you can only scatter one object at once! But you can vary scale, spacing and orientation. But at least it can handle vraymesh!

        theres also a few other scripts that could help out.. poke around www.scriptspot.com for some ideas

        but.. one i used/edited slightly was the 'Rpc Mesh Painter' (to include random rotate, instances, and turn into a floater) http://www.buchhofer.com/AEITools_MeshPainter.ms
