    I might have come in late but the 3dsmax's Standard Materials seems to be broken with VRAYNEXT? The usual Specular Level/Glossiness parameters/ self-illumination parameters are bonkers. Opacity works though. Very weird.

    Using 3dsmax 2019/VrayNext Update 2.1.

    Can anyone confirm?

    Why would you use a standard material in the scene? This is known to create any kind of weird problems while rendering, V-Ray was never optimized for that.

      We have assets and projects in the past that were obviously made with Standard Mats and sometimes have to pull them out and mix with new scenes. I know times have changed but VRAY in the past had always made this work. Anyways, I have no problem building vraymats for new scenes or converting. Not a complain either, just hmm.

        Well the same reason why you would not be adding exhausting pipe to a Tesla
