  • translating maya cam film back settings to max

ive got to match a maya scene in max. the maya cam has a film back/film offset applied. its 0.3 something.

in max, the physical camera has vertical shift, but its in percent. the vray cam has vertical shift which is in unspecified units.

is there a direct translation/ multiplication i can do from maya to (ideally) the vray camera (i never liked the max physcam) or do i have to eyeball it? id prefer not to.

    thanks!

You'd have to eyeball it. I believe there even is a message during the FBX export that offset etc. is unsupported.

actually i get an eyeballed ( zoomed in on an 8k render) match between maya cam and vrayphyscam, when vraycam is exactly 0.5 of maya cam value, and positive, instead of neagative.
