  • Up from the Depths in VRay

Our client has requested a video of the following:
    1. The camera comes from completely black, deep in the ocean and approaches the surface
    2. The camera starts to see sun rays through the water
    3. The camera approaches the outline of a small boat.
    4. The camera goes above surface and shows features of the boat with flyarounds, etc.

I think Dreamscape is the obvious choice for the above water shots, but I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for the below water/sunray shots.

Does someone have experience with this that would be willing to consult?

    Thanks for your time.

hmmm..there have been numerous tutorials created that outline this sort of thing. I would do some searches for underwater tutorial.

fake it. do it in multiple passes. the light rays could be done in as volumetric light with a noise or something in the projector slot.
