  • Possible to bind proxies?

Any way to convert vrmesh back to standard max object? Or replace many instances of a proxy with max objects? Substitute modifier (like all modifiers) won't work with proxies.

          "clone and align" eh?....

So with this tool can we rewrite the vrmesh script to do multiple objects at once?

OK as mentioned a while back in another thread here is the VRmesh manager plugin that we have been putting together. You can convert a vrmesh to an editable mesh. You can also load or unload many proxies in a scene. Please let us know if any bugs show up. We are adding features on the fly so any ideas for new features would be considered.

Install with the exe, start Max, get quad menu with right MB, and select Launch VRmeshtoMax.

or a very basic help could be the "instancereplace" max script command. like select your proxies and type "instancereplace $ $nameofmymeshtoreplacetheproxieswith".
does not do any magic though.

For the Vraytomesh script, the file contains a file with a .gup extension,
no exe, how do i use this?
                  Cheers

just put it in your plugins directory, be careful though. The script continually rebuilds a dataset of all the scene objects, can kill you if you have a lot of objects. I recomend loading it, use it on just a vrmesh and then remove it.

Alternativly you could put the file somewhere outside of the plugins directory. And then use the plugin manager to load the plugin whenever you need it. No need to restart max them.

                        hello there.

I wonder if someone could please re upload the script somewhere because the link is broken.

or does someone know something like VRMeshToMax that is more updated ?

                        Thanks!
