Ok this is happening all too often. I set up my final high res render to render overnight and the next morning it hasn't finished I-map calculation (huge scene, displacement etc.) But I need my workstation so I cancel and loose everything. Any way to save what's been calculated so far and continue it later?

Saving I-map mid render?

In a similar vein to the original post for this topic, I have just had to cancel an irradiance map calculation using multiframe incremental on a flythru animation so that I can use my workstation for the day. On cancelling the calc, the map has been saved, which is great, but which mode would I use to continue the calc tonight? Is it "Incremental add to current map", or "Add to current map", and how do I point it to add to the previously saved map? I'm using 1.09.03r.
Many thanks.

I haven't done this for a while, but I think you first render a single frame from the saved irmap. This loads it into memory. Then you use incremental add to current for following frames.Kind Regards,
