3dsmax/vray interface speed is so slow and very frustrating!

Does anyone know of a really good IT service that could connect to my PC and see what's wrong? I mean MAX, rendering, everything works pretty much ok (with sluggish behavior like everyone else), but opening Chrome and some other apps takes like 10seconds. On my old system it opens instantly. Tried scanning with those emergency apps, win defeneder, etc. and they all found nothing. But it's like something somewhere is delaying certain operations.

I mean Cyberpunk starts faster and works perfectly so it's not like system is slow and has some weird process taking it's resources, it's more like (well I'll say it) everything I do is first being sent to someone ) Another weird thing is when I start windows explorer and click the search window in the upper right corner it takes about 10 seconds until I can start typing!! So weird! The system is 1950 so only a couple of years old. It started that like a few months after I bought it. I keep waiting for Windows update to fix it but still nope.

I had this exact same behaviour. I wish I could say I know what happened to make it become stable again but sadly I can't remember exactly.
I do remember turning off Chrome's background use and think that may have helped.
Do you have more than one gfx card? It's possible that swapping them around may help also.

Only one gfx. Initially I thought it was Anydesk or Teamviewer so uninstall those but the problem remained. Now I still use Chromes remote desktop, I tried removing it temporarily but it didn't help. What do you mean turning off Chrome background?

Guys I found the culprit! I wonder how many of you have this issue and if should have been posted somewhere. The problem was Nahimic service! It's some crap Asus software that is practically malware. You don't need it, it's for some Studio recorder or something. I "end tasked" it, and then stopped the service also, and now my PC works flawlessly!

So the issue was that clicking search in windows explorer took more than 10 seconds to start typing! Chrome and Thunderbird took about that time to start too! Now after I disabled it it literally takes 1 second to start Chrome (which is, I know, normal for most of you )

Haven't tested MAX yet, but I don't think it'll affect it.

Ensure, where possible, that you're using the processor without NUMA active.
That's great for some things, but truly not very good for interactivity of any sort (gaming, too, f.e.).
Granted, you may see half of your ram available, that way, but perhaps it'll be enough to do those interactive, single-core action tasks.
I have a 1900X and it runs smooth as butter with NUMA deactivated, while it's all hiccupy with it on.

It well should, yes.
I have no actual data on it personally, however, having experienced NUMA only with AMD CPUs.

confirmed. Better performance with NUMA disabled on 2 Xeon E5-2697 v2.
