  • Volume lights

    Hi,

Couldn't find a topic about this:

Is VRay able to render standard type Max environment volume lights? I don't see my projector light beams anymore after switching from scanline to VRay.

    Thanks 'n' cheers,

    Hi Metin,

I seem to remember you need a free plugin called ScatterVL. I just did a search and found a few threads.

Thanks very much guys. I noticed that VRay shadows also don't work when using an other light that lights the scene with a projector map.

        Cheers,

And another tip: if you're using fog in your environment as well, as I do, be sure to set the atmospherics to the right order. The volume light suddenly appeared after exchanging its queue position with the fog atmospheric.

          Cheers,
