Has anyone else run into issues with Max 7.5 breaking textures in Max 7 files? About 80% of the time when I render old files, the textures all end up mapped like they were done with a mapscalar set to have the texture repeat per face. It's really bizarre. If I change the camera slightly they may fix themselves, but then they're back to broken again the next time I hit "render."
The only reliable way I have found to get them back (for one render) is to go to the material properties of each texture, check "Use Real-World Scale", change one of the Size parameters, uncheck "Use Real-World Scale", and change the tiling back (since it got changed when I changed the Size parameter.
I have had this happen now with multiple files, and I am starting to go crazy. Naturally, I have followed Max's request and resaved the "obsolete" files.
I have yet not verified whether I get these errors using the scanline renderer. I was about to write an apology for asking a Max question in the VRay forums, but in the process of typing this up I am now wondering if it might be a VRay issue. I spent several hours searching for anyone else out on the internet who has had this problem, but I couldn't find it documented anywhere.
Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.
