Try this one frome the Faction:
https://thefactioncgi.com/the-factio...es-for-3ds-max
Not sure if it directly works with VRay as I havent tested it, but I dont see a reason it wouldnt. Anycase, it will be simple enough to pick the colour and copy/paste it over to your diffuse
They're also busy refining the script and an update coming soon will also give you 5 complimenatry colours based on the color you pick....Kind Regards,
Morne

anyway, i never managed to get a proper ral correspondance between the color you set up, and the color you get in the final render (once you want to use filmic, ocio, aces etc, it never matches...) it's mainly a problem when the client wants a very specific color, or if they have a very specific advertisement image they use, they always complain it's doesn't perfectly matches their original color or image

I had these clients too, but explaining them that showing exact colors is a dangerous thing because in real life they will NOT be that exact and consequently lead to new complaints, drastically changed their mind. Each client needs intelligent disclaimers, because we are not offering them an exact world, even if it seems like that.
But that is in archviz. In studio environments you can get away by using neutral lighting, neutral refl/refr environments and...neutral ocio/luts/filmic, resulting in very close resemblance.Last edited by trick; 07-05-2021, 03:49 AM.
